IMI Digital Printing 2020: Opportunities and Challenges Symposium
30 - 31 January 2012 | Orlando, Florida, USA
Print on demand is a key driver of inkjet technology adoption and it is becomingly an increasingly important factor as the demand from consumers for customised products increases. As inkjet technology provides essentially zero set up time, producers can react much faster to market demands. Jane Barlow, Xennia's Sales Account Manager will give a talk titled "Inkjet technology: on demand printing for demanding consumer markets," analysing the impact of inkjet technology on specific consumer markets, compared to traditional printing methods, whilst also identifying the challenges of inkjet technology and how they can be overcome. The talk will also review the opportunities for inkjet applications in the future.
IMI's Digital Printing 2020 - Opportunities & Challenges Symposium will address the state of the digital printing industry and the potential impact of these many changes on toner, thermal and inkjet printing. As the conventional printing industry continues to consolidate, the digital printing industry continues to be fostered by such developments as increased personalised documents; new applications like printed electronics, textiles, active packaging & more; 3D printing, digital manufacturing, integrated multimedia campaigns (conventional/personalised direct mail, web, email, display graphics, etc.) Smart Labels, PLUS tremendous digital printing technology capability advancements. Unparalleled business opportunities exist for tomorrow's printing industry in an increasingly digital world, yet every digital printing technology faces challenges and hurdles in their development and implementation scenarios.
