Xennia Viridian
High speed, multi-colour narrow web printer
The Xennia Viridian provides fast, high quality printing of narrow web materials including flexible packaging materials and label stocks, with the capability to print white or other undercoat layers and additional spot, metallic or overcoat inks. With variable data printing built in, the Viridian is the ideal solution for many customised printing applications.
Ideal for fast printing of flexible substrates
The Xennia Viridian is configured to provide single pass printing up to 280 mm in width with an apparent greyscale resolution of over 1000 dpi. The print engine can accommodate web speeds of up to 24 m/min, providing a compelling quality print proposition for the most demanding packaging and label printing applications. The Viridian achieves high efficiency in short-run production applications with minimum downtime for set-up and maintenance.
Integrated printing system with flexible options
The Xennia Viridian is supplied as a self-contained unit comprising an accurate web transport system, print engine module, recirculating fluid control systems, control electronics and PC. The recirculating fluid control systems provide unrivalled reliability for industrial printing environments, with temperature control providing compatibility with a wide range of ink chemistries. Options include an automated maintenance system, vacuum table, flexible UV pinning and curing configurations and a corona pre-treatment unit.
Flexible colour and UV options
For the ultimate in capability and flexibility, the Xennia Viridian is configured to allow a pre-print (white background for transparent substrates or other pre-treatment), full CMYK process colour, and additional post-print options such as a clear coat/varnish or additional spot colour (including metallic). Pinning and full UV cure lamps can be set up to provide application-specific print configurations.
Intuitive printing and real-time customisation
Powerful integrated XenJet print software allows users to create print jobs and print images using an intuitive interface. Variable data and images are supported to allow full colour real-time customisation down to a batch size of one, including full support for 1D and 2D barcodes.
Maximum performance with UV inks
The Xennia Viridian is recommended for use with Xennia’s high performance XenInx Diamond UV cure inks and is supplied integrated UV pinning and curing lamps. Using Diamond, the printer delivers excellent print quality with good adhesion and durability on a wide range of non-porous substrates. These inks offer high levels of chemical and abrasion resistance and UV light fastness. Xennia also offers the facility to develop customised inks to meet specific application or substrate requirements.
