The Xennia Sapphire™ scanning XY inkjet printer is designed for large area multi-colour printing onto flat substrates, providing a compelling solution for digital customisation and personalisation of a range of products.
Ideal for product decoration and graphics
The Xennia Sapphire can accommodate up to six colours and is available with four different print areas, giving ultimate flexibility and performance. Fast single pass printing gives excellent print throughput, making the Sapphire the ideal development, sampling and batch production tool for a wide range of specialist product decoration and graphics applications.
Integrated printing system with flexible options
The Xennia Sapphire is supplied as a self-contained unit comprising integrated electronics/ink system cabinet, XYZ motion stage, printhead module, recirculating fluid control systems, control electronics and PC. Options include a turntable product load/unload station, UV curing stations, vacuum substrate table and alignment camera system.
Accurate printing and fast substrate handling
The motion stage uses high accuracy servo motors for the XY motion and includes a programmable stepper motor Z axis for easy print height adjustment. When combined with the optional integrated vacuum table and alignment camera, the Sapphire gives the ultimate in precise substrate handling and print positioning. The optional turntable product load/unload station gives fast job turnaround making the Sapphire ideal in a batch production environment.
Intuitive printing and real-time customisation
Powerful integrated Xennia print software allows users to prepare print jobs and print images simply using an intuitive interface. Variable data and images can be supported to allow full colour real-time customisation down to a batch size of one, including full support for 1D and 2D barcodes.
Maximum performance with UV cure inks
The Xennia Sapphire is recommended for use with Xennia’s high performance Xennia Diamond™ UV cure inks and can be supplied with an integrated scanning UV lamp for in-line curing of the printed image. Using Diamond, the printer delivers excellent print quality with good adhesion and durability on a wide range of non-porous substrates. These inks offer high levels of chemical and abrasion resistance and UV light fastness. Xennia also offers the facility to develop customised inks to meet specific application or substrate requirements.
